yes, a lot of people were handed money, but a lot of people were also handed less money than if they had worked a fulltime job over the covid 19 period. Unemployment rates are at a historical low, there is more money than ever before flowing through the economy. The big issue will be the possible looming recession and people getting their spending under control with rising interest rates and inflation etc
