Interesting that as at 1351 AEDT on Tuesday 6 February 2024, there are twice as many shares being bid for as there are shares on the block for sale, despite MYR's SP having already risen A$0.10 (>15 per cent) to A$0.765.
This is a far more optimistic situation than I'd expected: proof if any was needed that one can't always predict how 'Mr Market' reacts, even though 'he' supposedly typically looks six to nine months ahead.
Perhaps as mirriesq suggested, investors are disregarding written off amounts from stores such as Frankston (Victoria) closing, and therefore regard the result as better than expected.
