A pity I did not follow my own advice, Last October I posted my estimate of a fair price at $4.60 based on a PE of 15. Should have sold,.aghh the price of real world education
339 shares on issue, $95m mid point of guidance gives an EPS of 28c
PE of 12 (no EPS growth in 5 years) gives a share price of $3.36, so $4.40 is looking like a good sell price.
Div payout ratio has been about 60% or 16.8c, but I think there is a good chance that will be cut ( pay down debt, redundancies)
Even if it stays the same at 16.8c that represents a yield of 3.8% or a grossed up yield of 5.4% (can get over 9% of real estate debt with reduced risk)
This will take years to turnaround but the egos involved will not admit their mistakes.
The ultimate red flag was the "Better than Before" program, bringing consultants (if correct - McKinsey mentioned in an earlier post) to run such a program is a sure sign management are bereft of ideas themselves
