Yeah, they got it pulled out about a month before they went into administration. I wasn't all that impressed - Recycal sent one guy in a pickup to collect, despite both me and Redflow telling them it was 250kg. Fortunately, he had a trolley he could use to move it, and I helped out. A little nerve wracking, but we got it done.
I definitely dodged a bullet, given that the quote I had for removal was over a thousand dollars. As you say, proper removal and disposal is not cheap. As these things go, zinc bromide isn't the worst material out there - but there's no way I'd do anything but proper hazmat disposal.
