Micro-sampling at scale, very exciting stuff. Stephen Tomisich continues to push the boundaries.
In the Covid era the thought of lining up outside a pathology room for an important but non-urgent blood test, and then sitting inside the usually tiny and poorly ventilated room with the blood collector wearing a loose-fitting surgical mask, and sitting in the same chair of numerous other potentially ill patients... seems a bit dated.
On top of waiting for things like Covid PCR swabs that take too long to get the result as we are now seeing. I think the move to Rapid Antigen Tests in this context that maybe funded by government that we are seeing now is just the start of this new approach of doing testing remotely.
Blood testing via remote sampling is next. A sector ripe for disruption...
