It is comical that the Chinese be forced to offload shares at $0.03-04 by the Australian Treasurer to "protect our national interest in relation to this matter (NTU)" and yet NTU then has to do a raise at $0.019?
Apparently the treasury and Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) consider it "strategically crucial Australian heavy rare earths project" and then beyond the ordered devolution of shares order, do jack. The market seems to disagree its crucial value, valuing it at less than $150 million. The complete disconnect between the two is crazy.
If government support and indeed strategic protection of this national asset is not forthcoming, its bonkers. Once Terbium and Dysprosium likely join the other export controls from China in response to the orange genius, the mkts and government will eventually likely wake up. How does it feel, with increasing AI execution and even decision making in institutional investment, have equity mkts seemingly become less forward thinking?
