Absolutely, it’s a blatant lie and a deliberately misleading statement. I imagine there’s many punters out there who are a long way down on their investments. Not to mention brokering firms who were given this information and who were under the impression that the word “secured” is pretty well understood and typically doesn’t mean anything f*ing else. This is certainly grounds for class action and potential prosecution.

If I had skin in this game, and I very nearly did invest a sizeable chink of my super, I’d be seeing red.
