If a company is ‘X’ big and has ‘Y’ shares on issue each share is worth X/Y. If it then issues twice as many shares then each share is now worth X/2 Y, half as much, but this is not the case here, because the ‘X’ in this equation has also increased.
A simplistic view for sure, I trust you will understand what I am getting at.
