Given Mr Zhang's influence in the Chinese market in which EVS will operate I would say that HE is the advantage.
He obviously sees enough potential in the company to sink some cash into it.
Nor sure the relevance of your comment about the family trust being the investor - he's just (you would imagine) well advised enough to know that this is the most tax-flexible investment structure.
