I'll usually have between 20 and 30, at the higher end at the moment as I've been taking some profits and building new positions. About half are in the microcap space. I generally start with smaller positions and top up with positive news - provided market doesn't spike immediately, but I find for some of the off the radar stocks it usually takes a few days for the full market impact of a positive announcement. Biggest microcap winners so far have been EVS, TNY, VMT, and RFT. I don't see much undervalued given the current market conditions, but when I next add I'll probably look to top up SKF or IHR, maybe MOB - I'm still pretty happy with those investments even though they've been sliding since I bought them. I've also got a couple of potential turnarounds (ADA, MPW, EN1, AGY) which could either go to zero or double in the next six months. The rest of my portfolio is more stable small or mid-cap stocks that have solid revenue and earnings and I still expect some future growth (FID, IMA, AD8, IRI, DTL, ASH, HIT) and some biotech speccies (RAP, OSL, IMU, UBI, IMC).
