Don't be disappointed, I'm actually somewhat relieved the deal did not proceed. I suspected it wasn't going to work after doing a bit of quick research just after the announcement, but of course you can never say anything negative on HC otherwise you are a down ramper.

Sure, it was a big deal and probably too big for BMO and due diligence would have also been very difficult. The option announced today is a better proposition IMO and much easier to manage.

If I was doing the due diligence, the first thing I would have done is spoken to the team at Solstice Gold as they did an almost identical deal with the vendor back in 2021. As you will see below it did nothing for them.

The vendor has a very large tenement holding and have done a few of these deals in the past, it's part of their business model.
