Shareholders will either take the profits as they nearly always do or kick back and enjoy the combined entity.

Aren't all scenarios like this - a done deal? Key shareholders locked up and a 20% RMS stake. This merger happening wasn't hard to pick - if a large company wanted SPR why would they be waiting?

The good news for SPR is they still get access to the upside from the project whilst being in a company spinning out massive profits.

Have a look at what happened to DEG , there was a major shareholder/quasi miner in the running but got usurped by NST on the final lap . There are some big egos out there so a lot of one upmanship
