I, for one, kind of think that ‘cool cat’ Simon didn’t ‘just stumble’ over Never Never.
- He arrived, he assessed the operation and costs … and then he listened intently to geologists who knew the site as to what their thoughts were, before taking the huge decision to stop the existing mining program, lay off the contractor and go out on the exploration limb.
He also had the choice of focusing on the Firefly tenements - ground he knew well after three years as MD there.
And whatever else
- So he actually is a kind of visionary, I reckon, in that he could have ‘just stumbled’ off in any number of other directions, but chose the path that added more than 650% to the Spartan share price and has led to this merger.
