Good news. By the time Stewart Cummins arrived at VET, the horse had already bolted. Furthermore, the business was already showing signs of improvement after his short time there. ASH is not in anyway near as bad a situation.
He has experience with class actions from his time with Multiplex and TPI.
This is essentially his first shot as CEO so he has a point to prove, particularly on the back of VET.
It is also a positive that Ross Shrimpton has taken such speedy action to replace himself as CEO. It can't have been easy to accept that someone else would be better placed to take the company he built forward. It suggests he is putting ASH's interests before his own.
