agreed, unless you have worked in the AI field, built models, converted those models to the right configurations, tested the model and then deployed it to a complete solution its extremely hard to say what time frames there should be.

im only guessing but if I were building some sort of consumer product I'd want to have finalised a finished design (and built a prototype) before I went around signing IP license/component agreements rather than just signing them as I went because you want the flexibility to remove/add things during the design process. for a bit of point of reference, Apple operates on a three year design cycle for the IPhone.
