IMO he’s still right.
What the share market does is out of anyone's control - vested interests, tax selling, multinationals pulling out all the tricks, etc, etc.
Don't discount a follow up piece in the next 6 months to back up his reputation. Besides, the AR3 rare earth story will have an external ‘economies of scale’ that will curtail China's dominate. So, not only is AR3's internal 'economies of scale' so low (this relates to minimal capital cost it needs to start mining and operate) but the external 'economies of scale' (number of players required to keep up with supply), AR3 is disruptive. Especially, for those hard rock wannabes. We have already seen a number of them fall or change tack.
Meanwhile, the US needs our heavies (Dysprosium, Neodynium, Praseodynium, Terbium) more desperately than anything else. Therefore, could we be one of the chosen ones when this gets announced later in the year? we will be more advanced by then.
US-led minerals partnership shortlists projects for green energy shift (google text for full FT story)
A US-led group of 12 countries, plus the EU, plans to select large critical-minerals projects to develop by year end, in an attempt to lessen China’s dominant role in producing raw materials needed for green technologies.
The Mineral Security Partnership, convened by the US last June, has produced a shortlist of some 15 projects culled from about 200 options, said Jose Fernandez, US under-secretary for economic growth, energy and the environment.
China’s control of the supply chain for critical minerals was a “vulnerability” for other countries, Fernandez said. This would become more apparent as demand for minerals such as lithium, used in batteries, rises as countries looked to lessen energy dependencies and cut greenhouse gas emissions, he added.
“It’s not about monopolising any supplies. It is about just diversifying our supply chains,” he added.

This project which is only 2 years since listing, is going to move fast and may set records. Patience should reward.
