Nabaru01, The country rock is quartzite not shale while i do agree with your fundemental supposition as to gold deposition in areas of structual weakness, i disagree with your overall view, the shales are part of the story. But the shales are not the host rock formation, shales like quartz are a byproduct of structual change, ( the oil and gas industry through out the world are only now coming to terms with the phenomenen. (must say that shales occur throughout the geological history of the formation of the planet, some are totally barren, others are from a trace to extremely rich in minerals. You mention the Blue Spec, awsome grades throughout its minelife, but the Antimony has destroyed every venture since it was first mined. Hopefully todays technology will make the operation a succsess. I have a suspicion that the porphry intrusion of Bucaccaneer has a lot to do with the surrounding geology but i could be so wrong.
