Imo the issue at Trident is we know where gold is at but we don't know where the aquifer is at. Hydrology atTrident suggest two possible outcome for mining Trident over longer term which I am guessing is why Barrick wouldn't touch Trident with 10 foot pole to feed hungry mills at plutonic but permitted phb1 instead. Bestworse case outcome is Trident be la platosa. La platosa is high grade underground gold silver mine in arid Mexico where they accidently hit aquifer. No amount of pumping keep the works dry. Had to be abandoned. Cerro Bayo is worst case outcome where they used scuba divers to recover the miners bodies for their loved ones to bury.
