The road is an extension of Route 167 from the Renard Diamond Mine to the Trans Taiga highway. The project is being undertaken by the 'La Grande Alliance' between the Cree nation and the Quebec Government. It has little to do with the federal government and prime minister Trudeau. Preliminary works have commenced and you can find more detail at lagrandealliance.quebec. Winsome Resources is currently exploring government funding support to build the road working through the alliance in an effort to quicken the pace. I don't see how the road won't be built by the time Loyal is ready to use it.
