I find this announcement strange. It is nice it has got more land but TMG is an explorer and needs to focus on drilling etc - it is not a producer so land grabs are really irrelevant too me as they still will only have a level of funding for its principal targets (and this land grab area will not see any exploration activities, like drilling, anytime soon since they haven't even drilled their core targets yet).. This announcement is simply too me a distraction and makes me question what is TMG's focus given it still needs to drill its principal target. To date TMG has missed deadlines and this also makes me question their focus and priorities.
The only excuse maybe for this acquisition is if this acquisition is strategic and ties into their proposed listing on the OTC in the USA, and btw where is that listing up too - seems delayed is my point. TMG is presenting in the US soon - based on this post Post #:77609940 - so wondering whether this land grab is simply a broader strategy in appealing to a new set of investors in saying we have a lot of targets, with our principal target been x, y and z etc etc (should they list on the OTC before that presentation).
