At the same South West conference MT also made it pretty obvious a JV in November was doubtful. It was even posted on HC 'verbatim' what he said regarding a JV in November. A company update was also posted after the conference that did not even mention LKAB or Mitsui as potential JV partners.
It sucks but the writing was on the wall.
