If LKAB's been playing hardball for over a year with no indication of a compromise then it is likely management has been working on other options and that an alternative plan for mining underground is already well advanced.
I seriously doubt management has just been sitting on its hands hoping for LKAB to cave in.
If there is a Plan B then we should hear about it soon.
