It was always far less than 50/50,
it's a speculative explorer. The chances of ruin are high, but the payoff on the upside could be huge. Agree that the visuals from the first hole weren't great, but that's not to say the current program is a dud. There are many more holes to be drilled.
The price increase today indicates that this was oversold.
