Titomic Ltd. and Inovor Technologies are proud to be partnering on an exciting project under the recently announced Manufacturing Integration Stream Space Grant. Collaborating on a coatings project, we will develop and test Titomic's unique Kinetic Fusion cold spray additive manufacturing technology for functionally layered materials for enhanced radiation shielding.

Radiation exposure in the space environment is a satellite's unseen enemy and can result in performance degradation and even functional failure of the onboard systems and electronics. Titomic and Inovor Technologies will further develop a novel shielding solution that can meet the strict weight targets of space vehicles while improving reliability and increasing a satellite's lifespan.

The ultimate goal for Titomic and Inovor Technologies is to launch a TKF-protected component in space, producing a unique Australian sovereign capability and a competitive advantage to help to grow the domestic space sector.
