Is a dividend going to be part of the EQR conversation in the future? Yes. Then there would be no issue starting a discussion on it now - period. Show me just one BioTech stock that hasnt come to market promising to cure cancer or some other fatal illness - only to have to admit 18 months later they couldnt do it. Yeah and the jails are just brimming with CEO's who made promises and didnt keep them. JOKE!!!
I'd stop digging now because your lack of knowledge is becomming embarassing.
The other thing worth noting is that when CEO's make these 'pie in the sky' promises that never happen, the SP often flies on speculation. Here we have a company giving us acutal truthful good news and the SP is still going backwards.
As for Oaktree being one of the biggest fund managers - SO WHAT!? That just means one of two things .1. They are good at picking winners OR (dont stop reading yet) 2. They are good at cutting losers. You have NO idea which one it is yet and they sure as hell wont be telling any of us, including EQR management.
My guess with what is going on here with this blind devotion is a group of people invested to the eyeballs, who cant get out, so therefore this stock just cant fail. Well good luck with that.
