Just as an example of how a market can set prices that are totally illogical - look no further than BRB and BRBCA - need one say more?
As far as tools go --- for an explorer -
I would think that a self built tool - using a spreadsheet or data base - using inputs like -
Time
Ounces discovered
Cost of discovery ounce
number of shares on issue
Market Cap (not share price)
You could break up a JORC into measured, indicated and inferred (but, don't crowd the graph)
etc etc.
Watch out for sector - you would need to compare it to that as well.
POG in local currency as well
Plonk it all on a graph and see what's going up and what's going down
If you have got everything heading north very nicely but, the MC is heading south - unless there is something one doesn't know about - then, you are actually sailing smoothly and the stock is probably a buy.
If one were to use SP (or MC) as purely a measurement - - basically - we wouldn't probably have any investments at all ---------- the whole idea of value investing is to get something that is undervalued and then, possibly sell it when it's overvalued.
SP (MC) - plays a part in that - but, basically - when it's going south - is when you BUY - not when you sell - and vice versa
have a good arvo
