StreamOn is not an actual content delivery product from IO. StreamOn is basically just a data offering - whereby mobile users that sign up to streamon have an unlimited data allowance when using certain services. These services currently are Spotify and iFlix - both of which are third party offerings that have entered into an agreement with IO.
In other words - streamon essentially means that IO customers who use spotify or iflix don't have to worry about eating into their data allowance.
iStream is IO's attempt to enter the market offering both live events and movies/videos/tv. Live events were their first offering as the world cup had a clear cut deadline to get the product to market -but I fully expect in addition to live events, we will also see movies/tv offerings on iStream in the coming months.
Once that is up and running, it would only make sense that they will also have a StreamOn offering whereby iStream users can stream movies/live events/tv -without using their data allowance.
