With China its all about loosing face, I recall a small miner I had 10 years ago where the chinese bought a stake but because they couldn't impose their mandates on the board they sent that company broke with litigation.
Chinese have no moral compass they just demand if you can't comply they just cut you down until you submit or go out of business fighting them. I think Palmer was one of the few that may have squeezed a bit out of them.
They will literally cut off their nose to spite their face - no compromise! I don't think a change in the US will alter their attack on Aussie companies. The best thing for us to do is find alternative markets and be a lesson well learned.
