I can’t give you advice, only speak from personal experience. I’ve paid stacks of CGT over the years buying and selling lithium stocks (still holding a little bit) but also paid off my house and have a tidy portfolio that will set my kids up for financial security. Does it sting paying tax? Yes. Do I regret paying tax? Not on your life! But everyone’s situation is different.
