In my view, the JVP will drill Odin-2 ahead of a Kinta well, since a success at Odin-2 (appraisal well vs. exploration) can probably be brought into production sooner than a successful drill at Kinta. Furthermore, I think the JVP mentioned that they needed to acquire a new 3D seismic survey over the Kinta structure to optimally locate a well.
Regarding 3Q 2023 production results, in my opinion we will only have the 3 Vali wells producing for that quarter. In my view, the JVP are over-promising on having Odin-1 online in 3Q 2023; we have failed to deliver on any first gas timeline to date. Also, since Odin-1 will have been shut-in for over 1.5 years, it may suffer a similar fate to Vali-2 and Vali-3 needing to be dewatered, putting further pressure on a 3Q 2023 first gas milestone. I hope to be proven wrong with this prediction!
