I believe so. It’s a little unusual to declare the offer unconditional and not increase their bid given Iberdrola’s subsequent bid is higher. I can’t recall seeing a bidder doing this in an competitive m&a process before. But UAC still haven’t said $0.80 is their best and final offer which suggests an improved bid is still in the mix.
I haven’t sold a share and am glad I bought another parcel at $0.80 on the day the UAC bid was announced.
This is far from over IMO, despite many market commentators views that Iberdrola has IFN sewn up.
