It satisfies a key condition of the UAC offer (Iberdrola will also have a FIRB application pending, no doubt) which Mr Market should like as it helps clear the way for an improved counter-bid by UAC (at a higher price and with less conditionality).
If you accept a takeover is likely to proceed then this is good news for holders. I’m surprised FIRB waved it through without conditions - and in such a short space of time.
