Not sure the the Colibri codec will make much difference to take up. From my understanding, Colibri or JPEG2000 is used in the Dante AV Ultra offering. AV Ultra's advantage is in high quality, and ultra-low latency settings. For example shooting live concert and playing the video back to the crowd at the same concert. You can imagine any discernible lag, where the video doesn't match the lips moving onstage and the audio would be disconcerting. Dante AV Ultra also supports HDCP which is a piracy protection mechanism - so it could be the only option for streaming over the network a Kayo sports stream for example.

But in most cases H264/H265 is the king of codecs. Everything - from your mobile, to your PC, and set up boxes - have accelerators to encode and decode it. All the camera manufacturer's Audinate have signed up thus far are using Dante AV-H which is H264/H265. Because in most cases, there is no ultra-low latency requirement. Putting up slides in a lecture hall and even playback of the lecturer talking doesn't really need it. Plus it's the most supported codec, so there are many playback options. Dante AV-H (or however they brand the H264/H265 codec product) will likely be the dominant solution in the Dante AV suite.

For those that want to track the progress of Dante Video - competitor NewTek NDI is the one to track. They're currently the out-and-out leader and very strong in the live broadcasting space.
