James from Intelligent Investor mentioned yesterday that -
But because of the close connection of audio with video, it runs deeper than that.
What the market needs is an integrated solution for both – and if Audinate doesn’t add video to its audio technology, then it might eventually find that someone else adds audio to their video.
(Indicating to me IMO that video is pivotal to AD8's future in both markets.)
There was a previous post (can't find it) by someone with a technical background in video transmission, where he/she mentioned that video was a whole new ball game & that AD8's success in audio did not necessarily mean that it would capture video market share in a similar fashion.
From what I understand, critical to AD8's success in the video transmission market is video compression & the CODEC used for it.
Now that we have Belgian Silex Insight integrated in AD8, with it's set of Colibri Codecs, would anyone care to comment on AD8's prospects within the video transmission market now?
