"In late October Jaws experienced a brief period of downtime..."
"Brief" like the word "imminent" are measurements of time that are immeasurable. Surely management know exactly how long the brief downtime was and could share with shareholders (excuse the homonyms).
I guess they didn't want to alarm the ever positive faithful and announce the hiccup when it occurred... that's right, I forgot, they're asking the faithful for more money. Strike management, ever transparent.
