All very well to shrug and say "the market is never wrong" and similar platitudes. When you have more buyers than sellers the price goes up and when you have more sellers than buyers the opposite occurs - trouble is, that ain't necessarily so.

Counting 5 points out from the action there were three times as many buyers as sellers all day today, and yet price pressure was downward. Supply side hardly changed all day - a 1mill parcel of shares at the top of the Sell pile remained untouched while many millions of shares changed hands at 4.2c or 4.25c. Where did those millions of shares come from? All very opaque. I have a lot of faith in IXR, but very little in the ASX. I cannot see that it is a free market.
Between 1.30pm and 3.00pm about 6.5 Million shares sold.
Screenshot about 1.30pm
The parcel of 1 million shares at the top of the Sell side at 1.30 was still there at 3.00.
If anyone can enlighten me as to how this all works I will be very grateful.
