This needs a ride over red tape and all the hoo-ha. Soon we may be seeing greenies as well as a lot of others, so called dying of exposure from living in freezing unheated houses and flats in the British winter. The buildings of Whitehall of course will suffer little if at all. After all, they spent over a million pounds on each window in their recent renovations. The politiciasns and their staffs should man up and have what everoine else is having, just to bring reality home to them in the bubble they live in. Can see the Lords full to the brim with dozing oldies in the warmed up chambers getting their three eighty odd pounds a day for turning up. . .

The Nimby's may be the loudest voice, but I think the Realists have the numbers. Any well conducted measure of local opinion will come down on the side of taking compensation for what is likely to be very minor inconvenience.
