Well. The manifesto says the Government will consider each new fracking development on its merits with precautionary approach.
So if Cuadrilla (or any one) thinks it has merits based on its seismic data and recent BGS review they can still go ahead and apply for fracking. Whether the government will see the merits is up to the company to convince the minister.
and why Cuadrilla did not put their fracking case forward since they have been saying there is no scientific reason to refuse their fracking plan? What is stopping them? Or Cuadrilla is just using the government moratorium as an excuse??
