But the government won't have to pay anything as Cuadrilla are free to frack as long as they have planning permission and can provide the required scientific evidence that they can proceed safely.
In fact they don't even have to prove that - they only have to show that they can control and mitigate the seismic activity they will cause and the moratorium would be lifted They can't do that of course.
There is no way on earth a court would award the industry compensation because they are not allowed to proceed because can't show they can do it safely.
This just sounds like the industry's mouthpiece throwing his toys out of the pram again. he has been very sulky recently.
