my understanding of the tax regime is that there are big tax breaks to get investment in the sector but to pay for it you get taxed more heavily when you are in production, ergo a loan from the tax office that is paid back on production.
labour are using the public's poor knowledge as a popularist weapon.
could be like the luxury car tax labour tried in Australia that lasted 6 months before they realised it was a dumb idea. Or the green policy of Sri Lanka that plunged their country into poverty and regime change.
