Pulled the pin on open and exited, the only benefit for me is that Tax Loss will be handy this FY.

Couple of points, I hold two other companies in the oil and gas sector, however going forward I will avoid investing in this sector on the simple fact the headwinds are constant and at times they can be tornado like. Governments, coupled with the Green Agenda makes this whole sector far too risky from an investors point of view, rules are easily changed on whim of generating voter appeal.

As for the management of HHR, imo, the "transformational deal" was a probably lemon all along, as it appears it was the only deal available at the time.

My understanding is if RR walk away, the break fee is circa $9mil (please check if this is indeed the case). The tone of today's announcement came across a little defeatist, but that is the reality.

The only hope here is for Labor shoot to themselves in the foot which hurts them in the polls.
