Because they are able to produce TiO2-NT titanium nanotubes right now and it's as easy as replacing the carbon anodes in a existing battery a actual working battery is what's needed to remove any question of a doubt
There might be some lithium ion battery manufacturers and manufacturers of what you can do with them would like to see a working battery aswell in the quest for safe fast charging batteries that hold up to 3 times more power
