Unfortunately the huge volatility and big swings are bear market moves. In a bull market (which we've had for the better half of 10 years) the uptrend was clear and predictable.
We're on the edge of a cliff IMO. We will need one more correction before we can really recover.
I'm glad I've just gone long gold. I've reduced my "growth" stock exposure on each spike.
