Whilst we can’t be sure of how many shareholders applied for their entitlement we can see that of those shares available only one third were sought. It just so happens that those holders that did apply, on average, wanted double/triple their entitled lot.
The company got what they wanted as did Henslow, it would seem. As for the retailer they left 17 of 26 mill on the table. Understandably, in the current environment it appears many didn’t want a bar of it
