I made reference in an earlier post to Regis (RRL).

I see a lot of Regis in EXG and a lot of EXG in Regis.

Regis went nowhere for years, even though they had really good ground, and it was this "really good ground" that kept me in the stock.

After several raisings in order to keep going, and a 10/1 consolidation, they were again down in the 4,5,6 cent range. A stock broker company which had been very supportive of them since inception, when asked what was happening with them replied to me, "I don't know, they just never seem to move forward and we are getting very tired of that after recommending them over the years. We don't know why they don't just get mining the stuff".

Then there was a take over for the management, by a very well respected management group from a very successful Gold company where that company had been sold on to a much bigger gold company.

Immediately the share price started to rise. There was resistance by the original management, and even a court case, but the new management prevailed and the share price took off.

They built their own plant in record time, coming in on cost and on time, something you never see ordinarily. Everything they said they would do they did, again on cost and on time.

They paid a dividend, if I remember correctly, I think within about three years. I only had 100,000 shares but got a dividend of $15,000 that first dividend year. The share price had risen from 5c to over $5 in that time.

I know nothing much about EXG's management except, that a lot of posters seem unhappy with their results, and the mix of the qualifications of the current directors.

I am not saying one way or the other what shareholders should do about the directors - whether to stay with the status quo or change 1,2 or all of the directors, I am just telling you about my experiences with Regis and the incredible differences a change there made.
