I'd like to make the comparison between Army Medics and front line Health Personnel.
They both face different risks, but the end result is the same: a potentially life threatening injury vs a potentially life threatening injury.
The mechanism of injury, or death, is academic.
Whether 7.62mm bullet, or blood-borne virus, the end result is the same.
Weeks, months or years of suffering.
Or death.
You are not going to die immediately from a needle-stick injury.
An AK47 round to the head will be much quicker.
Compared to a member of the Armed Services, Health Service personnel have it pretty easy.
At least you have support services, medication etc available.
The enemy won't stop shooting you in a war situation, just because you are injured, or are protecting someone who is.
Anyway, I know it's pretty early, but I'm up to my sixth VB.
It's the Holiday Season!!!!
Regards to all.
dino :-)
