I agree with your assessment re holding more cash. A very poor assessment unless you believe that stocks are going to plunge dramatically and holding more cash is an opportunity to pick up more at the bottom. I think that the market is stable, FAIRLY cheap (hence all the takeovers at the moment) and is in a good place and unlikely to plummet. Certain sectors of the market are “hot” at the moment and are likely to stabilise over time. I’m only sorry that I hold more LSF in my own name, and not enough in my SMSF, so that WHEN I eventually sell, I will have CGT in my name and not tax free in my SMSF.
