Imo When a companies share price shows plenty of liquidity, which UNT does, I personally think that short term T3 traders don't affect things much. There's plenty of them trading the big banks for pips.
Imo It shows to investors that if they want to, they can take up large positions but still get out fairly quickly if they need to.
When the stock has little trading liquidity that Imo is when traders do the damage. That's just my take on it, I'm sure others have a different view.
