Kinda disagree a little on your time frames ivp, in my experience, Takeovers if straight forward and go ahead when announced without multi and better bids which pay for your time hold and pocket you more are usually woe to go in 4 months-ish. I do the numbers on that if I'm arbitraging, on the net return to my cost priced investment, not forgetting the added franking bonus on any special dividend, as well as the return based on an annual basis to see how the risk return compares to cash safe under the mattress or going no where in a cash account.
