This raises another issue I know little about. Is onshore oil really worth more than offshore? Offshore needs huge amount of infrastructure but it can be pumped directly to a tanker and then straight to market but onshore needs a way of getting the oil to a ship or direct to a refinery. Pipelines or trucking can be very expensive in my eyes. Anyone got any knowledge on this and is there a clearly cheaper option in OZ.
